Foreign Exchange Management Regulations, 2017 issued: RBI

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued the Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or Issue of Security by a Person Resident Outside India) Regulations, 2017 (2017 Regulations).

The 2017 Regulations consolidate the regulations, compliances and restrictions applicable to foreign investment in India, and supersede previous regulations issued by the RBI under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA).
