United States Call Center Worker and Consumer Protection Act Bill introduced in US House of Representatives

A Bill – H.R. 3596: United States Call Center Worker and Consumer Protection Act – introduced in December, 2011 in the US House of Representatives has been reffered to the Committee.

This Bill provides for: – i) a list of those employers who relocate their call centre overseas, to be made public

ii ) disclosure of the physical location of call center employees unless they are located in the United States, and

iii) making those companies ineligible for federal grants or guaranteed loans who relocate their call centers overseas.
